Headteacher – Special School: Sheffield

Mossbrook School

Mossbrook is a 76-place primary community special school that meets the needs of pupils aged between four and 11 years who come from across the city of Sheffield. The school has a residential unit, Mosshouse, that provides 24- hour education for older pupils. Approximately one quarter of pupils who attend the school access this care for one night per week.

Due to the impending retirement in March 2013 of the current Headteacher, Mossbrook's governors are keen to recruit a Headteacher with a track record of success and proven leadership skills who is:

• Passionate and knowledgeable about the pursuit of teaching and learning

• Able to motivate staff and children to excel

• Capable of promoting partnerships and collaborative working

and will:

• Have a clear vision for the future of Mossbrook

• Continue to build on Mossbrook's achievements and improvements, taking the school to the next level of success.

Ofsted judged all aspects of Mossbrook outstanding in their July 2012 inspection, and Mosshouse received outstanding in its April 2011 inspection.
