Interviews – Where’s the justice?
Like everyone, I have been to interviews where everything I said seemed to please the interview panel. I left the exhausting process feeling convinced that I had got the job. The much-awaited phone call confirming my appointment, however, never came. Indeed, days passed before someone put me out of my misery telling me that the job, my job, had been given to someone else.

Emotional intelligence and does it matter?
Emotional intelligence means different things to different people. Some consider it to be a woolly, soft quality that you would expect to find in a counsellor. Others consider it to be an essential component of effective leadership.
I thought it was left? Take the first right; then right again; stay in the middle, then turn right!
It has been for sometime well established by the ‘Right’ of the Conservative Party that a 'free market' approach in education has the answers to many of our ills in the way that it resolved failure in publicly held institutions and turned them into flagship businesses.
